Maternity Coaching

Let’s face it, motherhood is a paradox.

It is incredible and relentless, joyful and exhausting, thankless and rewarding.

I help women rediscover their identity, purpose, and sense of wellbeing after having children, empowering them to design a fulfilling and balanced life on their terms.

Well-being

When you become a mum, it is common to find yourself at the bottom of your very long list of ‘to-dos’. All of the things you used to do that made you feel your best go out the window because maybe it feels selfish, indulgent or frankly just impossible. Whether that's seeing friends, exercising, reading, eating well and let's be honest we’ve all had days when even having a shower feels like a stretch.

Wellbeing is not merely the absence of illness, it is a state of thriving physically, mentally and socially. I like to think about well being like a battery, so wellbeing becomes all about energy management, doing the things you need to do to keep your battery fully charged so that you can show up fully in your life and for those around you.

The importance of prioritising wellbeing cannot be underestimated and through coaching we work together to figure out what's important to you and how you can find space to bring those things back into your life alongside balancing all of the other demands on your plate.

Purpose

Having a sense of purpose involves understanding what is truly important to you and what you want to achieve, both personally and professionally. Early motherhood can be a confusing time which brings into question all of the things you had known about your prior self, your values and sense of identity.

You might be looking to return to work, take a career pause, lean into full-time motherhood, or move into flexible work or self employment. Or maybe you feel unsure about what direction you want to take or feel that your hand has been forced due to the costs of childcare.

Wherever you find yourself, and whatever you decide you want to do in this phase of your life coaching empowers you to move forwards with clarity, confidence and compassion.

Balance

Let me start by saying, I think it's ridiculous and unrealistic to aim for perfect balance across the many demands of life as a new mum.

When I talk about balance, I'm talking about finding a dynamic rhythm in your new life; understanding what's important, seeking support, being flexible, setting boundaries and staying present.

Doing this work through coaching, moves you from the feeling that life is a constant juggling act that you can’t keep on top of, to feeling in control of, and at peace with how you are spending your precious time.

My Story

In 2017, I left my career in property and went back to study coaching which led me into the wellbeing industry. I eventually found myself working in corporate wellbeing, most recently at a leading global mental healthcare company where I moved away from coaching and focused on wellbeing content creation and speaking. At this organisation, I had the opportunity to do another coaching training programme (that I somehow managed to complete whilst on maternity leave!) and this really reignited my love for coaching.

At the same time I was navigating my own experience of motherhood. From a young age becoming a mum was my greatest ambition and still is the thing that brings me the most joy and purpose. Despite this, nothing prepared me for the challenges I faced in every aspect of motherhood. Despite the difficulties, I returned to work after maternity leave, to a job I loved.

Six weeks after my return, I was made redundant. While losing my job at such a vulnerable time was a tough experience, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. This unexpected push led me back to my true passion—coaching. Now, I get to spend quality time with my daughter every day and support incredible women on their motherhood journeys.

My passion for maternity coaching stems from my own lived experiences and the profound impact this work has had on my life. Through countless discussions with other women facing similar challenges, I know how important it is to have dedicated support through the ongoing process of growth and change that motherhood brings.

When I’m not working, I am pretty easily pleased. I love spending time with my family, eating good food, dancing (badly) and getting into nature. I am fascinated by psychology, philosophy and more recently I’ve been exploring astrology.
